וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֜ם גִּדְע֗וֹן אֶשְׁאֲלָ֤ה מִכֶּם֙ שְׁאֵלָ֔ה וּתְנוּ־לִ֕י אִ֖ישׁ נֶ֣זֶם שְׁלָל֑וֹ כִּֽי־נִזְמֵ֤י זָהָב֙ לָהֶ֔ם כִּ֥י יִשְׁמְעֵאלִ֖ים הֵֽם׃
At sinabi sa kanila ni Gideon: “May isang bagay akong hihilingin sa inyo: ibigay ninyo sa akin, bawat isa, ang singsing sa ilong na mula sa kanyang samsam.” Sapagkat sila'y may mga gintong singsing sa ilong, dahil sila'y mga Ismaelita.

Midianite merchants passed by. They [the brothers] pulled Yoseif up from the pit and sold Yoseif to the Yishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. They brought Yoseif to Egypt.
